Credential pathway
A planned organizational pathway for manufacturers, distributors and technology providers that can demonstrate transparent product information, responsible claims, training, support and issue management.
Who this is for
Successful candidates would demonstrate the published RSM competencies through eligibility review and assessment. Credential holders may describe the credential accurately while it remains current.
It is not a trade certificate, P.Eng. licence, building permit, municipal approval, product endorsement or guarantee of performance.
Eligibility
Applications must be supported by evidence. Completing one course alone does not automatically establish the full credential.
Competency framework
Assessment
RSM plans to combine knowledge, application and evidence review rather than treating attendance as sufficient proof of competence.
Reasonable assessment accommodations will be documented without changing the competency standard.

Required learning
Final pathway rules will identify mandatory learning, accepted alternatives and recency limits.
Conduct and renewal
Credential holders will be expected to follow the Code of Conduct, complete continuing education, report material changes and avoid claims beyond the credential’s published scope.
Planned fees
$1,250 CADInitial credential fee before HST. Planned renewal: $395 CAD before HST. Eligibility review, reassessment or special administration may have separate fees.
